In memoriam Piet Groot

On March 22, the founder of our beautiful company, Piet Groot, passed away after a short illness at the age of 79. The farewell took place in private.

Piet started his company when he was 18 years old. Citronella was one of the first lilies he grew. He soon expanded the range with trumpet lilies and other specific garden lilies.

Thanks to his pioneering spirit, the development of the lily range, specifically aimed at garden and park planting, has continued to grow under his management and we as Lily Company have been able to further expand this after the take over around his retirement.

With the death of Piet Groot we lose a striking and unique person and his legacy lives on forever in the garden of our memories.
